Liam Percy-Fysh - Senior Coach

Liam has been with HB Futsal as one of our Senior Coaches for 3 years.  Liam has been working predominately with our U15 age group but is also the co-ordinator for all of our Happy Feet coaching programmes.  Liam runs our specialist GK sessions having played at the highest level in the NZ competitions as a GK.

Liam is studying a Bachelor of Sport & Recreation at EIT and is currently in his 3rd year.

As a Youth Player, Liam represented HB Futsal at the NZF Youth Champs, as well as playing Futsal for Central Football in the SuperLeague at age 17.  Liam also has a coaching role with the Napier Boys High School Futsal Programme and has coached the Seniors in 2020 and 2021.  When time allows, Liam also plays Football for the Napier Marist Federation side.

Liam brings his experience at a playing and coaching level to our programmes and we are very happy to have him as part of our Senior coaching group.

Alex Eaglestone - Senior Coach

Alex bring with him a weath of Football and Futsal experience as both a player and a coach.  Alex is one of the Hawkes Bays most promising young coaches and he has been involved with Futsal from U12s as a player, and as a coach for HB Futsal for 2 years.

Alex was part of the Hastings Boys team that competed regularly at the NZSS Tournament and is a player/coach in the All Stars team competing in the HB Futsal Premier Draft League.

Alex was all set to make his debut into the Senior Mens Super League in 2022 before it was postponed, so keep an eye out for this promising young coach and player.

Claudia Barham - Senior Coach

Claudia returned to the Bay in 2020 after completing her tertiary study at Victoria University in Wellington.  During her time in Wellington, Claudia played for the Capital Womens Super League team in 2018, & represented Victoria University from 2017-2019.  Prior to attending university, Claudia was a HB Futsal representative in the NZF Youth Champs for a number of years.  Claudia also represented the Central Football Womens Super League team in 2017.

Since returning,  Claudia has fully emersed herself in coaching, taking on the Central Futsal  Girls U15s team in 2020 & coaching across a number of our HB Futsal age group.  Claudia is also co-coaching the Napier Boys High School Senior Boys team who are competing in  the HB Futsal Premier Draft League.

Claudia brings a huge amount of playing & coaching experience to our coaching team & with her focussed on growing the game in the female space, we can only see great things happening for this coach & her players!

Jeff Robson - Senior Coach

Jeff has been part of the HB Futsal coaching scene for over a decade coaching at the NZF Youth Age group tournaments and for HB Futsal locally.  Hard working and organised, Jeff demands a very high standard from his players and this is reflected in the results he has produced over the years.  In 2014 Jeff led the U14s HB Futsal Team to National Champions with two of the players in this team going onto make the U18 NZF Futsal Whites, and the NZ Uni Team in 2022.

Jeff has also coached the Hastings Boys Senior Futsal team for a number of years and lead them to a top 10 finish in 2021.

As well as coaching, Jeff is a great mentor to our youth coaches and is often helping across a number of age groups at our coaching programmes.

Charlie Mirams - Youth Coach

Charlie has been part of the Youth Coaching set up with HB Futsal for just over 1 year.  As well as coaching, Charlie has also played Futsal for Napier Boys, Lindisfarne and was part of the HB Futsal Premier Draft League in 2022.  Charlie was also part of our Mens SuperLeague squad in 2023.

Charlie has been involved initially as a coach of our Happy Feet programme and now our U11s teams, as well as assisting with U13s in 2022.  Charlie exudes enthusiam in his approach to coaching and this is very well received by his players.  He has a great technical knowledge of the game at the Youth Level and having played GK also brings an extra source of knowledge for our up and coming GKs in tranings.

Ollie Keith - Youth Coach

Ollie joined our coaching team in July 2022 as part of the Youth Tournament coaching group.   Having played Futsal for a number of years as a age group representative for Central Football, Ollie was a part of the U19s Youth Team that won the 2022 Youth Tournament in Wellington.
As well as his representation at Federation Level, Ollie was also an integral part of the Hastings Boys High School team and also spends his time assisting with their Senior Futsal team.

Ollie brings a great deal of technical knowledge and has a great repore with the younger players he leads.  He has been focussed on developing our younger age groups ensuring they are well versed in the fundamentals of the game.
